Hello! I am a motivated, energetic, Licensed Behavior & Mental Health Therapist. I am currently licensed in FL, ID, CO, and WI as well as SC, VT, and NH (telehealth only). I have had extensive experience with multiple populations including people with special needs (i.e. Autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent disorder), I am Proficient in parent training, family counseling, counseling teens and even adults. I have worked in the corrections, forensics, severe mental health, and substance abuse settings. I have worked with individuals from all ages. My master’s is in ABA therapy, and I am also proficient in multiple modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Gestalt, and more. I have worked with multiple different cultures and am LGBT+ friendly. I want to make sure that I support you in your journey and individualize your treatment according to your needs. I believe that our minds are powerful and that our minds can be both challenging and amazing at different times or sometimes, at the same time. With me, you will always feel supported, I am open to any situation, and I am a non-judgmental person who wants to make sure that you will always feel supported. If you think of all of the things we live through, and the challenges you are dealing with at this time shows how resilient you are. The beauty of mental health is that although it can tear us down, there are also many ways to build it up and the process of change can be truly rewarding. No matter how severe your challenge, know that there is a lot of support out there for you and I am here for the journey with you. I have specialized in disorders such as personality disorders, schizophrenia type disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar, and many others. You deserve to have a therapist that teaches you new ways to deal with your mind and through new positive coping skills, talking through distorted thought patterns, and/or having a fresh perspective, change can happen, and your symptoms can alleviate. I also love working with couples who need help through various issues and whether or not the couple decides to stay together or decides to end their relationship, it’s my belief that just like there is “entrance counseling” people who are going to get married, there is also a form of “exit counseling” at the end of a marriage or relationship. Either way, relationships should only truly end when two people have tried everything possible to fix what was/is broken. When it comes to people with addictions, addiction is not just substances that are used, or money that is spent, addiction includes a lot more which may include grief for the thing that has “supported” them in a negative way for years. Just because the addiction was unhealthy, does not mean we do not form bonds with it, like a bad relationship and through grief work, it is possible to work through the thoughts and feelings around the loss of the thing that has kept those of your who struggle with addiction, so content for the time it did.
