Magan Millsaps

I have earned my Bachelor's Degree in Addiction's Counseling and my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

I have worked in the field since 2013. Beginning in a treatment center for substance abuse, I built my career as a non-licensed substance abuse worker to a licensed clinician. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings. My experience includes individual, family, and group therapy in both mental health and substance abuse.

I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; however, my therapeutic technique is very eclectic. I feel that therapy and therapeutic techniques are not "one size fits all." In order for me to be the most helpful, I believe that it is important for me to meet my clients where they are at. I also feel like as the therapeutic process progresses, individuals change; therefore, I need to be able to change to accommodate and meet the needs of my clients at each point in the therapeutic process as they grow and change.
