I matriculated from the University of West Alabama with a Masters of Science in Guidance and Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology plus a Minors in Human Services, Clayton State University, Morrow, GA. I have a diverse background working in the capacity of community service boards and private practice. In these roles, I provided mental health services, conduct weekly individual counseling sessions with adults diagnosed with a variety of disorders including Adjustment Disorders, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Dysthymic Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Cognitive Disorders and Borderline Personality Disorder; monitored and maintained 90 day no show reports including sending out all discharge letters and completing discharges as needed; completed discharge lists; maintained a case load of approximately 30 clients weekly; wrote treatment plans, process notes and diagnostic summaries as well as prescreened intake interviews to assess appropriateness for outpatient services. My therapy philosophy helping individuals by providing a nurturing, supportive environment to challenge each one that I work with to explore their behaviors, emotions, lives, and relationships through strength-based and client-centered approaches.
