Maureen Rebar

I am a proud NE PA native that graduated Marywood University in 1992 and gathered 30 years of social work experience beginning my career in child and adolescent mental health. I worked in medicine as a medical social worker at Moses Taylor Hospital for 8 years then worked in long term care and hospice until 2008. I then worked with the homeless to help them find and maintain permanent housing while case managing their medical, substance abuse and mental health issues. I understand addiction and the toll it takes on people and their families. At the same time, I am the sole proprietor of geriatric mental health counseling in assisted living facilities in Scranton, Poconos, and Lehigh Valley.

Common problems I help with are anxiety, stress, depression, family/relationship issues, illness, chronic pain, substance abuse, grief, and loss. I take a person centered approach and believe that everyone's story is unique to themselves. I welcome you to tell me yours. I am a great listener and will work together with you to try to make your whole being feel better with peace and clarity.
