About Me

I have been a counselor since 2006. I graduated with my Masters of Art from Trevecca Nazarene University. I received my license in 2010 with the state of Tennessee. I am a L.P.C.-M.H.S.P. I have worked as a therapist in residential ,agency and private practice. I implement an eclectic approach of therapy into my practice. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the primary approaches I utilize in sessions. I like the psycho educational approach it gives a client in helping them change their negative thought process into a positive and productive thought process. I believe in giving the clients tools to assist them with daily struggles and stressors in their life. I believe in listening and providing genuine empathy and understanding into each and every client's struggle. Counseling can assist an individual in changing self-defeating behavior. Counseling helps with increased self-awareness, and increased self-confidence. Counseling helps improve life skills.I believe in providing respect and kindness to each and every client. I believe in inclusion and equity of all communities.
