I believe in being brutally blunt and extremely pragmatic with clients in order help them grow and become the best version of themselves. My primary models are CBT, Psychodynamic and motivational interviewing to bring clients from a place of discomfort to comfort. I believe in challenging distorted and mal adaptive belief systems and help clients determine who and what they want to become moving forward.

I work with clients on the primary presenting issue they come in with and help them peel back the onion so to speak. They often find that the issue that thought was the main problem was one of several issues associated with it that has interfered with their life and caused them loss. I allow clients to self guide the process and allow them to grow into the space and not place them in the space by giving the answers. I have had clients describe me as a cross between a football coach and prison guard mixed with the compassion of priest. If you need things sugar coated for you and you really don't want to be confronted on distorted thoughts and challenged to be a better person everyday, I am not the clinician for you. I am very open minded and offended by nothing and am willing to engage clients in the most uncomfortable of topics for them.
