I was raised in a multicultural environment within a close and supportive family, which shaped my compassionate, empathetic, and culturally sensitive approach to understanding people's life experiences. I completed my professional training in the United Kingdom and practise as an accredited CBT clinician and in process of Doctorate Clinical Psyhchology Thesis.
Alongside my clinical practice, I remain committed to continuous professional development, advanced training, and evidence-based practice. This ensures my therapeutic approach reflects current psychological research and best practice in mental healthcare.
My clinical work is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a well-established, evidence-based psychological treatment. CBT is a structured, collaborative, and goal-focused approach that helps individuals understand the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviours. Rather than simply following a protocol, I tailor therapy to each person's individual circumstances, strengths, and goals.
CBT focuses on the "here and now", helping individuals identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to emotional distress and behavioural difficulties. Through practical therapeutic techniques, clients learn healthier coping strategies, strengthen emotional regulation, and make meaningful and lasting changes in their everyday lives.
I also have extensive experience adapting CBT for individuals who present with traits or Autistic and ADHD or (AuDHD). Rather than focusing solely on diagnostic labels, I help clients understand how differences in information processing, sensory experiences, attention, and emotional regulation influence their daily lives.
Many individuals experience anxiety, repetitive behaviours, or strong emotional reactions when their nervous system becomes overwhelmed. Repetitive routines or familiar activities are often helpful coping strategies that provide predictability and reduce uncertainty rather than representing "bad habits." Likewise, episodes of anger are frequently a response to sensory overload, frustration, or emotional overwhelm, rather than aggression or intentional misbehaviour.
My therapeutic aim is to help them better understand their own patterns, recognise the early signs of becoming overwhelmed, and develop practical strategies that build confidence, resilience, and self-compassion. Therapy is carefully adapted to meet each person's unique cognitive, sensory, and emotional needs, creating a supportive, flexible, and personalised therapeutic experience.
Throughout my career, I have worked across a variety of clinical settings, including NHS secondary care psychology services, hospitals, Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT/NHS Talking Therapies), and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). I am also Healthcode registered, enabling clients to access therapy through major private health insurers, including Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality…
My clinical work is informed by comprehensive psychological assessment, validated outcome measures, and collaborative case formulation. I work in accordance with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5-TR), ensuring that assessment and treatment remain ethical, evidence-based, and clinically informed.
Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, empathetic, and easy to talk to. I believe that successful therapy begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship where individuals feel safe, respected, and free from judgement. This enables clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences openly and at their own pace.
My goal is to help people understand the factors underlying their difficulties while developing practical and sustainable strategies that promote long-term emotional wellbeing and a healthier, more balanced life.
Over the course of my career, I have also recognised that CBT is not always the most appropriate approach for everyone. Sometimes attentive listening, psychological flexibility, compassion, and collaborative problem-solving are equally important in facilitating meaningful and lasting change. My approach is therefore integrative, adapting evidence-based interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all model.
