Let me know what you think!

This yoga class is perfect for you if you’re feeling stressed and anxious and need something extra to cool your mind and body down. Yoga is a perfect tool that can help you to shift your focus from your mind and into your body. It will give you a break from your negative thought loops. In this class, you are asked to focus on what you can control and to let go of what you can’t control. It's all about putting focus on your breathing, moving slow and consciously and truly experiencing all of the sensations in your body, right here, right now.

You have already done the difficult part by clicking on play, stepping on the mat and taking actions to prioritize your well-being by practicing yoga for the next 60 minutes. Start this practice being grateful for just doing that.

We will start this class with a quick breathing exercise, where I will guide you to breathe in for four counts and breathe out for eight counts. By breathing out for longer than you inhale, you will “fool” your body into feeling that it’s in a relaxed state. You will be deactivating your sympathetic nervous system (fight-and-flight mode) and activating your parasympathetic nervous system (the rest-and-digest mode).

You will continue by connecting your breathing to movement, warming up your spine and then adding sun salutation A and warrior flows to regain that sense of strength and empowerment. You will then move on to forward folds to calm down your brain and then come down to the floor for some gentle stretching poses. The class will finish with Savasana. You will be totally relaxed yet awake. This class will hopefully leave you feeling much calmer and centered.

Sending you love, happiness and ease!
