Online Therapy for PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a highly stressful or traumatic event, such as an accident, abuse, war, or a distressing medical experience.
If you have experienced a traumatic event in your life and are faced with flashbacks of this trauma, memory loss, feeling much more anxious and vigilant compared to before or avoiding things that remind you of the trauma, then you might be suffering from PTSD. Note that these symptoms often appear within a few weeks but it can also take years.
Our online CBT program includes tools and exercises designed to help people who experience symptoms related to post-traumatic stress. With the guidance of a therapist, you can gradually explore difficult thoughts, memories, and situations connected to past experiences in a structured and supportive way.
CBT approaches for trauma-related symptoms often focus on understanding how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. Many people find that learning new ways to respond to reminders of past events can help reduce distress and improve their sense of control.
Work is done gradually and at a pace that feels manageable for you. Over time, many people experience fewer anxiety reactions and feel better able to move forward in their daily lives.

"I use the basic subscription. I needed someone to help me get through a difficult time. Messaging back and forth with a therapist online worked well for me. It allowed me to express my feelings, emotions. You can write as much and as often as needed. Response time is usually timely. There are different levels of interaction if you need more. The site offers different tools to use. No pressure on what you do. I am grateful for this therapy program. I felt extremely comfortable throughout my time spent here. I recommend it for anyone in need of help."

"So glad that me and my husband were able to find a marriage counseling situation that works for us. Being a therapist myself, I was hesitant and Katie and embraced this and has been able to help me quite a lot to separate provider from wife. She presented herself in a way where we both feel supported and able to tap into vulnerability. Make plans and move in a direction that is healthy. My understanding is that Katie has a history of providing trauma services to individuals as well in addition to many other things- Very knowledgeable, Supportive, And also able to tow the line and set boundaries for us both in a way that is gentle. Thank you so much Katie and Online Therapy! My husband and I both believe that we will be able to keep our marriage intact and move forward in a healthy way and would likely not have been able to do this without the service that Katie is providing. Highly recommend this therapist, regardless of the issues that one is living with!! Danni & David"

"This platform is good if you want to get better but at your own pace. I like that there's not deadlines or a necessary end point for the worksheets, you can go back and review them if you need to reflect again or need to revisit those tools. You have to be able to hold yourself accountable and really want to change, but if you do that, then you will find yourself growing as a person and doing necessary and healthy reflection more and more in your life outside of the platform as time goes on.
I like being able to meet with my therapist once a week. It works great with my schedule and is a good check-in each week where I can truly reflect on my progress and know that I am growing as an individual. I also like that I can send a message whenever, and she will get back to me within 24 hours with a response, so even if something happens before my weekly live session, I can still talk about these things and get advice or even just vent, and know that I will get a response soon.
This experience has opened my eyes to a lot of things in my life that need to change, for myself and for other people. Though I plan to continue on with this journey, and still use the platform, I can see and feel myself growing as a person and have a clearer head about things in my life. I feel happier, healthier, and hold myself more accountable now than I did before I started this journey. Though I'm still figuring out where exactly I'd like my life to go next, I feel a lot better about the future and don't feel fear and anxiety ruling my life anymore. I doubt myself a lot less, and have learned strategies to set reasonable boundaries in my life, and can do that now without feeling bad about it even though they're good things for me.
At times the platform is difficult to work with, for instance sometimes there are connection issues that interrupt live sessions with no way to repair them on my therapists end or mine, and it's difficult to cancel/reschedule a live session with my therapist even though I am within the cancellation timeframe. I've noticed a few spelling errors on different sections as well, but I think with these things being repaired then this would be a perfect platform."
