Online Therapy for PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a highly stressful or traumatic event, such as an accident, abuse, war, or a distressing medical experience.
If you have experienced a traumatic event in your life and are faced with flashbacks of this trauma, memory loss, feeling much more anxious and vigilant compared to before or avoiding things that remind you of the trauma, then you might be suffering from PTSD. Note that these symptoms often appear within a few weeks but it can also take years.
Our online CBT program includes tools and exercises designed to help people who experience symptoms related to post-traumatic stress. With the guidance of a therapist, you can gradually explore difficult thoughts, memories, and situations connected to past experiences in a structured and supportive way.
CBT approaches for trauma-related symptoms often focus on understanding how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. Many people find that learning new ways to respond to reminders of past events can help reduce distress and improve their sense of control.
Work is done gradually and at a pace that feels manageable for you. Over time, many people experience fewer anxiety reactions and feel better able to move forward in their daily lives.

"This platform is good if you want to get better but at your own pace. I like that there's not deadlines or a necessary end point for the worksheets, you can go back and review them if you need to reflect again or need to revisit those tools. You have to be able to hold yourself accountable and really want to change, but if you do that, then you will find yourself growing as a person and doing necessary and healthy reflection more and more in your life outside of the platform as time goes on.
I like being able to meet with my therapist once a week. It works great with my schedule and is a good check-in each week where I can truly reflect on my progress and know that I am growing as an individual. I also like that I can send a message whenever, and she will get back to me within 24 hours with a response, so even if something happens before my weekly live session, I can still talk about these things and get advice or even just vent, and know that I will get a response soon.
This experience has opened my eyes to a lot of things in my life that need to change, for myself and for other people. Though I plan to continue on with this journey, and still use the platform, I can see and feel myself growing as a person and have a clearer head about things in my life. I feel happier, healthier, and hold myself more accountable now than I did before I started this journey. Though I'm still figuring out where exactly I'd like my life to go next, I feel a lot better about the future and don't feel fear and anxiety ruling my life anymore. I doubt myself a lot less, and have learned strategies to set reasonable boundaries in my life, and can do that now without feeling bad about it even though they're good things for me.
At times the platform is difficult to work with, for instance sometimes there are connection issues that interrupt live sessions with no way to repair them on my therapists end or mine, and it's difficult to cancel/reschedule a live session with my therapist even though I am within the cancellation timeframe. I've noticed a few spelling errors on different sections as well, but I think with these things being repaired then this would be a perfect platform."

"I find this site very helpful. I like the many ways that we can be involved with Online-therapy.com such as yoga, audio, messaging, jounalling and work sheets. Also, we can change how we wish to be involved. I like that we can have face to face therapy and messaging. My therapist is excellent and very suitable for me and also messages me back very quickly. I like the CBT aspect of the site. I find listening to talks about CBT creates understanding as well as the reading. I would always return to Online-therapy.com if I need to."

"Sessions have helped me alot even though it's still early days. I would however like an update on how the worksheet operates, maybe a new UI interface"
