Overcome Your Panic Attack with Online Therapy

Panic attacks are characterized by unexpected and repeated episodes of intense fear, accompanied by physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat, chest pains, tingling sensations in your body and difficulties breathing. With these symptoms, it is understandable that you might think you are having a heart attack and seek help at the emergency room.

Usually, it is not possible to predict when or where a panic attack will occur. Panic attacks are not dangerous but they are still extremely unpleasant experiences every time they happen. Some people experience feelings of unreality, depersonalization and fears of losing control or going crazy.

Our therapy for panic attacks is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). With the help of CBT, you will learn how your body’s physical symptoms interact with your negative thinking patterns and behaviors to create and maintain your panic. This will help you to identify and change the distorted thinking and de-dramatize your symptoms and panics. With the guidance of your therapist, you will gradually expose yourself to and remain in situations that usually induce your panic attacks. Eventually you will be able to reverse the downward negative spiral and live your life free of anxiety and panic attacks.

"We started using online-therapy.com for the couples therapy and it's really great so far. I like that it contains a video course, that you can do by yourself with feedback from the therapist, additional to the sessions. We prefer the video sessions, compared to chat sessions. It's also quite helpful to be able to send messages in between session to your therapist. That way you can summarise before a meeting of what happened and use the time effectively.

A little downside seems to be so far, that you can only book one lesson per week, so if you had to reschedule due to an urgent thing, make sure you have one session per week. Otherwise you might lose out on that, it's not possible to do two sessions in one week, even if you didn't have one in the previous week!

"Karon Hopkins has done wonders in helping me see things in a different light. The worksheets provided by the site have also helped me to understand what is going on inside my head. I still have a ways to go, but I am feeling like there is hope now."

"I have enjoyed my experience using this platform. After about two months of use, my biggest takeaways were the ease of use setting up my video calls, and I appreciated the worksheets with constant responses that help me stay on track to reach my goals."
