Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is characterized by a pattern of unstable ways of seeing oneself, instability in moods and often having problematic and stormy relationships. People with BPD are often impulsive, reckless and have a strong fear of abandonment and rejection. Some will engage in self-destructive behaviors, such as drug abuse and self-harm like cutting themselves.

When suffering from BPD it is common to also experience other mental disorders like depression, eating disorders and addictions. If you recognize that you have these signs and symptoms, you might be suffering from BPD – but you can regain control of your life and emotions!

Our therapy for BPD is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). With the help of CBT, you will learn to identify and challenge the automatic negative thoughts that underlie your inaccurate perception of yourself. Your therapist will help you to improve the way you interact with others as well as to reduce your mood and anxiety symptoms and your self-harming behavior. This will make it possible for you to live a more stable and harmonious life.

"So far so good. Everything I read and researches says that online therapy is as effective as in person therapy. I'm a week in and so far I'm comfortable with my therapist Janice. She has been prompt in answering and has shown caring, concern and kindness, and not just a bunch of "you got this!" stuff. She has given me effective advice and tools to use."

"Within only a few weeks, i had obtained a mental toolset that has enabled me to manage myself in ways that have been life changing so far, fantastic for anyone who is more focused on the solution and not the reason for a problem"

"I really like the lessons and especially the worksheets. They’re very useful because they help me identify my problems and work on improving them. It makes me feel like an active participant. I also like that I can choose whether to watch the video, listen to the audio, or read the text. Overall, I’d say this course is more comprehensive than any other CBT treatment I’ve done so far."

"I found Dr. Lucy Evans via the Online Therapy portal, and she has been amazing. If she is a representation of the therapists that are screened for this site, then I would recommend it to anyone. Dr. Evans is incredibly brilliant at what she does and takes my real world scenarios and helps me understand the cause and effect using psychological and physiological principals. The therapy portal is always consistent and sends meeting reminders regularly at a great interval. I love the worksheets and yoga, all the extras that the portal offers with therapy."

"I would like to talk about the good. I really didn't care for the first therapist. I met with her twice. Like many, I was worried about getting a good one, and more worried about switching if I had to. I didn't have any choice in the first one. She was just assigned to me. But switching was painless and far easier than I thought. I didn't need to explain or anything. You just hit a button to switch and then I had about a dozen choices. I enjoy my second therapist much better.

The CBT part of the website. I am not sure how I feel about it. I wanted to try guided CBT and this website does a good job. I one face to face therapist before trying this website and she also wasn't very good. But the way she introduced and did CBT with me also wasn't good. This website does a great job of breaking it down with video and worksheets. I am about 70% done with video and worksheets and the early stuff helped me realize some problem areas, but some of the later work sheets just aren't clicking with me. I don't know. Maybe my issues are too complex. Or one week one thing is bothering me, a couple weeks later its something else. If I had a singular issue I could see CBT working better for me, but my self talk and automatic negative thoughts have not been consistent through out this trouble period of my life. I am not saying it hasn't been helpful, it has.

Either way, I see the CBT as kinda a bonus and not the main reason I signed up. I live overseas and English speaking therapists are extremely hard to find or EXTREMELY expensive. So the main reason I joined was be able to have access to a live therapist that speaks English. I am happy with how this website handles that and far cheaper for than local therapists.
